Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 July 2026

Wonderschool respects the privacy of children, families and visitors to our website. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through wonderschool.com.au, including information submitted through our tour, general enquiry and waitlist forms. This policy applies to our marketing website only. Personal information collected during enrolment or while providing education and care services is managed under our separate Privacy and Confidentiality Policy and other centre policies.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:

  • your name, email address and telephone number
  • your preferred Wonderschool centre
  • information included in your message
  • your child’s name, date of birth, preferred start date, care requirements and other information entered in a waitlist form
  • information about a requested centre tour
  • your IP address, browser, device, approximate location and website activity
  • advertising identifiers and information about how you arrived at and used our website.

Please do not include health information or other sensitive information in a general enquiry unless it is necessary. Where sensitive information is required for a waitlist enquiry, we collect it with your consent or where otherwise permitted by law.

2. How we collect information

We collect information:

  • directly from you through book-a-tour, general enquiry and waitlist forms
  • when you contact us by email or telephone
  • automatically through cookies, tags and similar technologies
  • from advertising and analytics providers that report on interactions with our website or advertisements.

You may browse much of our website without identifying yourself. We may not be able to respond to an enquiry or waitlist request if you do not provide the requested information.

3. Why we collect and use information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to questions and contact requests
  • arrange tours
  • manage waitlist enquiries
  • communicate about availability, enrolment opportunities and Wonderschool services
  • direct an enquiry to the appropriate centre
  • operate, secure and improve the website
  • understand website and advertising performance
  • measure and improve our marketing campaigns
  • meet our legal and regulatory obligations
  • investigate suspected misuse or security incidents.

We will not use personal information for an unrelated purpose unless you consent or the use is otherwise permitted or required by law.

4. Children’s information

Waitlist forms may collect information about a child. The parent, guardian or authorised representative completing the form must have authority to provide that information.

By submitting a waitlist form, you consent to the information being collected and handled for the purposes described in this policy. You may request access to, or correction of, personal information about yourself or your child.

Information submitted through a website waitlist does not complete enrolment or guarantee a place.

5. Cookies and advertising technologies

Our website uses cookies, pixels and tags to operate the site, understand website use and measure advertising.

These services may include:

  • Google Analytics
  • Google Ads
  • Google Tag Manager
  • Meta Pixel
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag.

These technologies may collect information such as your IP address, browser, device, pages viewed, links selected, referral source and interactions with our advertisements.

Google Tag Manager helps deploy website tags. The individual analytics and advertising services deployed through it may collect and process information.

You can control non-essential cookies through our website cookie controls, where available, and through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some website functions. You can also manage advertising preferences through Google, Meta and LinkedIn account settings.

6. Sharing information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • the Wonderschool centre relevant to your enquiry
  • employees and authorised contractors who manage enquiries, tours, waitlists, marketing or the website
  • cloud hosting, email, form, security and IT service providers
  • Google, Meta and LinkedIn in connection with analytics and advertising
  • professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement bodies or courts where reasonably necessary or required by law
  • another organisation involved in a business restructure, subject to appropriate confidentiality arrangements.

We do not sell personal information.

7. Overseas processing

The main website is hosted using Google Cloud infrastructure located in Sydney, Australia.

Some service providers, including Google, Meta and LinkedIn, may process or make information accessible outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where they or their service providers operate.

Where Australian privacy law applies, we take reasonable steps to select reputable providers and protect information disclosed overseas. Overseas recipients may be subject to privacy laws that differ from Australian law.

8. Security and retention

We take reasonable administrative, technical and physical steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse, interference and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

No website or internet transmission is completely secure.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably required to:

  • respond to and manage your enquiry
  • maintain appropriate business records
  • meet legal, regulatory and operational requirements
  • resolve disputes or security concerns.

When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to backup, legal and record-keeping requirements.

9. Access and correction

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you or your child.

Contact us using the details below and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant records. We may need to verify your identity and authority to act for a child.

We will respond within a reasonable period. In some circumstances, the law permits us to refuse access. If that occurs, we will generally explain the reason and available complaint options.

10. Marketing choices

We may contact you about your enquiry, a tour, waitlist availability or related Wonderschool services.

Where required, we will obtain consent before sending marketing communications. You may opt out at any time by:

  • using the unsubscribe link in an email
  • replying with your request
  • contacting us using the details below.

We will process opt-out requests within a reasonable period. We may still send service-related communications concerning an active enquiry or request.

11. Data breaches

We maintain processes for responding to suspected privacy and security incidents.

Where a breach is likely to result in serious harm, and the notification requirements under Australian law are met, we will notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner and affected individuals as required.

12. Complaints and contact

Questions, access or correction requests, marketing opt-outs and privacy complaints can be sent to:

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website, information practices, service providers or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page with its last-updated date.
