About our centre
Wonderschool Conder is a new nurturing early learning environment all about creating connections for your child. Connections with family, other children, Educators and the environment.
We look forward to welcoming children aged 6 weeks – 5 years and their families seeking an exceptional learning environment with contemporary approaches to early childhood.
Every day at Wonderschool is a chance for exploration, discovery, education and really being in the moment. We encourage a sense of curiosity and wonder.
At Wonderschool Conder your children will discover, learn and play in a brand-new purpose-built early learning centre, with 7 separate rooms – configured for nursery, toddler, play school and pre-school – and an expansive natural and rustic outdoor play area complete with an old tractor to play in.
This is our newest early childhood service located in the Tuggeranong suburb of Conder in Canberra’s south. You and your child can find us on Sidney Nolan Street.
We understand your desire to stay connected with your child and keep up to date with their learning and progress. At Wonderschool, we don’t rely on technology to do this, with no apps or website updates on your child.
Our focus is on providing authentic, one-one-one assessments on your child every six months inline with The Early Years Framework (2009). Relationships are at the core of everything we do. We use moments during drop off and pick up to keep you informed of your child’s day.
We encourage ‘Morning Moments’ with your child – the chance to settle them in and join us for a light breakfast at Wonderschool Conder before heading in different directions for the day.
Enriching learning experiences that help build communities – e.g. your child can go on local walks in the surrounding suburbs.
Parents are welcome to come in and share their own skills with the children – e.g. music education, cultural experiences.
Sustainable classrooms – We are committed to do our part for the environment and teach the children about responsibility and accountability. We have recycling programs in place along with composting, worm farms and limiting food wastage.
Creative arts are promoted and supported – your child will have opportunities to express themselves through music, movement, painting and sculpture.
Natural, rustic gardens and areas where children can take risks, explore, learn about nature and create memories.
All of our meals are made from scratch and cater to all children from our commercial kitchen. The menu is in keeping with Nutrition Australia and modified to meet our children’s dietary and cultural needs.

Wondering about our educators?
We are a family operated provider committed to providing learning environments which promote wonder, curiosity, imagination and independence.
Our Educators focus on teaching resilience, empathy, conflict resolution, social justice and self-efficacy.
Our Educators are inspired by the RIE Basic Principles of respect; nurturing an authentic child; trusting in the infant’s competence; sensitive observation; involving the child; creating a safe, challenging and predictable environment; time for uninterrupted play and freedom to explore; and consistency.
Our team of highly experienced and professional educators knows your child deserves an environment rich with beautiful aesthetics, meaningful practices, safe classrooms and ample opportunities for developing and learning.
