Positions are available at our current centres in both Canberra and Sydney, and we are also accepting applications for new centres opening across Canberra in 2024. Potential candidates will have the opportunity to visit the relevant Centre to tour the facilities and meet members of the Wonderschool team.

Current vacancies

Trainee

Traineeships are a learning pathway where training and employment are combined to obtain a nationally recognised qualification. This means that you are paid to learn! Traineeships are great for school leavers, people wishing to change careers, upskill or to re-enter the workforce.

 

Certificate III Educators

Certificate III Educators, often known as Assistant Educators or Team Members, are educators who have completed their Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. Certificate III Educators will work with their team and Diploma qualified Team Leader or Early Childhood Teacher to support their learning, development, safety and wonder of children.

Diploma Educators

Diploma educators are educators who have completed their Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. With a Diploma qualification, educators who have the drive, as well as the knowledge and skills, may become Team Leaders (leading a team of educators and children) or choose to be a Diploma qualified Assisting Educator.

All education and care services are required by the Education and Care National Regulations to ensure that 50% of all educators employed hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Early Childhood Teacher

Early Childhood Teachers are teachers who have completed university level early childhood teaching bachelor degrees or ACECQA recognised bachelor degrees. Wonderschool Early Childhood Teachers will ideally have completed a 4 year teaching degree specialising in Early Childhood (Birth to Five Years).

Early Childhood Teachers use their knowledge and skills to lead teams of educators and drive the learning, development and wonder of children.

 

Cook/Chef

Wonderschool Cooks will have a commitment to providing delicious and healthy meals to children within our service. Our Cooks will have a strong understanding of the Australian Dietary Guidelines and be committed to sharing their knowledge and love of food with children. Our cooks will also have knowledge around managing food allergies, intolerances and cultural preferences.

Wonderschool Cooks will ideally have completed Food Safety Supervisor training.
