Sarah Wilcox
Operations Manager
Sarah has over 25 years working in both the profit and non-profit early childhood education and care sector. She holds a Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies and has spent time in various roles including Out of School Hours Care, Preschool Teacher, Centre Director, Operations Manager and most recently teaching Diploma Students at CIT. Sarah has recently completed the Australian Institute of company Directors Course on the role of company directors and governance.
Sarah has been incredibly fortunate to participate in the RIE® Foundations™ Course. This course transformed Sarah’s approaches to working with and being in the space with children, particularly infants. A few years ago, Sarah travelled to Reggio Emilia, Italy where she was a participant in the International Study Tour, Reggio Emilia. The Municipal early childhood programs in Reggio Emilia, Northern Italy, for children aged three months to six years, are internationally acclaimed for the inspirations, challenges, and provocations they provide for all those concerned with the care and education of young children.
Sarah enjoys spending time at home on the weekends with her energetic family in Canberra. She loves weekends away and the occasional ‘self-care’ indulgence!
Adam Darcey
Compliance Manager
Adam’s role at Wonderschool is to oversee all things compliance. This covers things like policy development, monitoring process in alignment with various legislation and supporting Centre Directors with all aspects of service delivery. Adam is an Early Childhood Teacher by trade, and has had experience in the management of various education services since 2007. He has worked in public schools, private organisations, not-for-profit organisations and in Catholic Education. Originally from Perth but has also been fortunate enough to work in various states and territories throughout Australia. The highlight of which would without question be his time spent in the Northern Territory between 2010 and 2017. Having the opportunity to visit remote indigenous communities was an experience where he learnt a great deal about culture and diversity.
At home, he has a very cheeky Silky Terrier and can often be spotted wandering around the Kingston Foreshore in his activewear.
